Four Decades Inside the Industry. Not Beside It.

Ravi Kapoor grew up on the floor of his family's handloom business, designing brocades and jacquard fabrics while still in school. By eighteen he had built a shuttle-less loom and a warp dyeing machine — the kind of thing that wasn't supposed to be possible for a teenager in a family weaving unit. That combination — a weaver's instinct and an engineer's hands — has defined everything since.

In 1994 he founded Ravitex Machines Pvt Ltd, which became India's leading indigenous manufacturer of automatic high-speed needle looms and electronic jacquard systems. The ISO 9001-certified company captured over 50% of its market segment, exported to 25 countries across the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia and Russia, and competed head-on with the European and Taiwanese giants of the industry. Along the way, Ravi's R&D team developed a 3-dimensional carbon-fiber weaving machine for DRDO, India's defence research organisation — technology built for aerospace applications, developed with IIT Delhi.

The decades since added layers most exporters never touch: a decade delivering complete furniture and interior programs for high-rise residential projects — more than 500 apartments across Noida's Lotus developments; building one of India's pioneering decentralized waste-management companies, serving clients like NBCC, CPWD and Safdarjung Hospital and earning national recognition; and training more than 10,000 people through his education ventures.

Kapex Global, founded in 2023, brings it all together: sourcing textiles, rugs, furniture, and machinery parts from manufacturers Ravi can evaluate at machine level — and exporting them with the documentation discipline earned across 25 countries. He spends two to three months in the USA and Canada every year, which means his buyers get something rare from an Indian supplier: a partner they can sit across a table from.
